I don't mind them reporting the end of Eid, which is SOMEWHAT significant but to ignore a peaceful march of over 10,000 people against extremism is far more significant

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
With current events you'd definitely expect the car driving into people to be reported wouldn't you even if as I understand the police have initially said they aren't treating it as a terrorist act.

I haven't seen the Eid report. Did it in any way resemble how I thought it might or was it some Muslims eating a pie? Id question the inclusion of that if it was.

Not sure the news is some contest of Muslim and non Muslim items as you seem to score it.

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
8 or 10 thousand marching against tertorism is a huge fucking story and if you cant see that sven then u must be mad or head of the bbc.

"isn't quite man walking on the moon if you are putting a news bulletin together."

Exactly, which is what the end of Eid in London was

They did separately report on the vehicle accident ploughing into an Eid crowd in Newcastle

Sven Roeder 9:50 Sun Jun 25
Re: Football Lads Alliance March
And I didn't say they shouldn't report it.
I tried to suggest why a news editor MIGHT not put it in a bulletin ahead of other competing stories.

Sven Roeder 9:43 Sun Jun 25
Re: Football Lads Alliance March
What was in the report?
Did it have interesting colourful pictures with a bit of movement as part of the celebration of the end of a festival?
That's what a news editor would consider.

I will ask again
How did you want them to report the march and what did you want them to show?
As important as the sentiments may have been some people marching to say they are against terrorists killing innocent people isn't quite man walking on the moon if you are putting a news bulletin together.

Far Cough 9:21 Sun Jun 25
Re: Football Lads Alliance March
For those saying (Sven), why should the BBC report on something that was peaceful and nothing untoward happened, well they reported the end of Eid in London, WHERE NOTHING UNTOWARD HAPPENED

Well said!

One thing tat sickens me is the readiness, by some, to label the FLA march as racist. What is fucking racist about about a march to peacefully protest against a vile terrorist ideology, whose followers cut up ordinary people on a normal Saturday night out, with swords and blow innocent schoolgirls, attending a concert, to smithereens?

Just been checking LBC podcasts since yesterday and can't see any coverage. I thought Majiid Nawaz the only decent one might have covered it but never.
Bet it's on all 3 Jon Gaunts podcasts tomorrow unless it's close down.

Darby - it is the main stream media that only wants to report on what fits its agenda . That is part of the problem - It's as simple as that

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
Like Sold0 I didn't see anything about the supposed Day of Rage either except for on WHO.

I still don't understand why this march was organised on the same day as the EDL and Britain First marches, which seemed to get most of the media attention, and which it seemed to get confused with.

Just been reading through these posts .. Vexed is vexed so his very first post on this thread does not dignify a response but Urban Smile this reply is for you you dumb fuckwit

Not sure how many if you went yesterday I went and I can only guess 300-500 West Ham were there - no racism just honest football supporters marching against Terrorism - no blaming of muslims , no calling out of Muslim's - everyone black white asian Muslim was welcome - key note speaker Sikhs !

it's snowflake keyboard warrior cunts like you that are part of the problem in society assuming wrongly that football supporters are racists have a good listen to the video of yesterday - you've made yourself look like a right cunt Urban Smile .

What a bunch of fucking idiots.

No doubt fuelled by racists.

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
I am making the reasonable assumption that this will be aimed at Muslim extremists. I also assume they will identify Muslims with those of Asian descent I am also assuming it will attract the usual EDL & Britain first mob.

Therefore Racists.

Prove me wrong

There you go snowflake fuckwit keyboard warrior proved wrong watch and weep

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
I'm a bit with Sven with this.... there are protests galore nowadays... they are just not newsworthy... I saw nothing about that recent Rage one as well.... they are only newsworthy if it kicks off... so maybe next Lads march get a guy fawkes dress him up as Mo Mo (the religious one not the WHO one)... stick him in the middle of Westminster Bridge... lob a few white chairs at it.... then a few bacon rolls... and then all urinate on it.... that... is newsworthy... not a peaceful march with a load of 40-60 year olds lads... saying that it would be lead story on Anglia news... their normal lead story is a newsagents selling out of date crisps

I notice ISIS will attack unsuspecting tourists & kids at a concert buta group of people who would give them a fight theyre nowhere to be seen

A day of rage barely gets 500 people and it's a major news story. If you don't think yesterday's March deserved a slot on news at ten you must be some kind of cunt

Ahh and then mugs try to start calling it a conspiracy if you question bias in a so called bastion of democracy.

People are already getting hard skinned against all this pigeon holing done by those trying to keep it calm and brush off things that have happened before on these shores.....

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
When Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea & West Ham play at home about 200,000 people are there.
The average home gate of Millwall marched a few streets , didn't cause any trouble , didn't meet any major politicians and didn't present any demands or answers. And then they went home
If you were the news editor of the BBC 10 o'clock news how and what would you have presented from that?
And are you saying itv , channel 4 Sky & all the others including the Daily Mail are part of this conspiracy?

Crassus 4:47 Sun Jun 25
Re: Football Lads Alliance March
Well it may not have ben reported by the main stream media but I bet it has across the desks of senior authority figures

Last thing they want is a popular uprising and their loosing control - they will be very bothered by progressive developments so fair play to the lads

Re: Football Lads Alliance March
There are marches even Saturday this time of year so if this Saturday was a bad day to have it when would be a good one ?
